As Long as my feet will carry me
The little Hostal looked cute from the outside, but an American couple had a bedroom only with the bath right in front my door. So I hear them all night doing their business…As I sleep bad I get up and start walking at 5:30 am. I organised a banana last night t have some food in my stomach before the tough day starts: 1356 meters unclimbed with at least as much walking down… one of the toughest day - but whom am I kidding, U have been saying this every day so far.
I prepare my large backpack for transportation: you simply fill out and envelope and stick money inside as 2ell as you leave your backpack 8n the entrance. People are gracious on the Camino, nobody would ever steel that envelope.
After the monastery with the vine fountain as I am leaving Estella the way splits today. I choose the left turn - after I already climbed up quite a bit I hear another pilgrim noting: the right turn is much simpler. I decide though to continue, the left way is very scenic but also very steep. As I am climbing up I realize that my flue from last week in Rio is really holding me back, I have to make several stops. The scary part though is that nobody is behind me, what if something happens to me…
After over 10 hours I reach my destination los Arcos. I am so exhausted that I crash right away into bed and after a while I am getting up using the whirlpool, getting the food and checking out the marvelous chapel.
